Due to Traficom’s new regulation (28 L/2025), all entities sending text messages must register their Sender IDs and phone numbers. The change will take effect on 4.5.2026, after which messages sent with unregistered Sender IDs may be delivered with the sender shown as “Unknown.”
You can register your Sender ID or phone number used for sending messages in Tavoittaja via: Account → Sender names → Authorize sender name.
Authorization before 3.4.2026 is free. After this, authorizing a Sender ID will become a paid service.
Which Sender IDs does the authorization requirement apply to?
All Sender IDs must be authorized.
Alphanumeric
E.g. Prospectum or Tavoittaja.
Phone number
E.g. +358501234567
Timeline
Submit your Sender ID to us by April 3, 2026
Let us know your Sender ID in Tavoittaja: Account → Sender names → Authorize sender name.
May 4, 2026 – The change comes into effect.
All unregistered Sender IDs will be replaced with “Unknown” going forward. New registrations will become subject to a fee.
